260325 last few months of uni!

phew! It's been a bit stressful recently, I have my 4th to last assignment due tomorrow, it'd almost done but I always doubt myself and my graphs, especially when statistical analyses are involved... :( But what can you do, I want to get my degree. I have a few weeks off over Easter in April and I can crack on with the final three and my dissertation. I am looking forward to going home for a bit then to chill, but gotta get on the grind too! I'm going home this weekend for mothers day, I bought my mum a candle and a Denby pot (she collects this series so I hope she doesn't have this one already...) I can't wait to see my kitties!. Mother's day is still hard for my mum, it's only the second year without my grandma so I want to be there to support her, and regardless I would come home to be there because she's like my best friend.
Speaking of home though, I got soooo many CDs recently and I've been sending them home because getting stuff sent to my uni address is proving so annoying, but a lot have come and my mum is going to send me pics of the ones that have come. When I see which ones are there over the weekend I'm gonna update my CD collection tab and add all the tunes to my iPod. I managed to get so many grails for such good prices hehehe. My bank account hates me but I still have some money left over from my bday so it's all good! (I think)
I've been thinking a lot about my future recently and what I'm gonna do with my life. My inital idea after my degree was to get a graduate job in ecology but It's hard without a) a drivers license and b) a master's degree. So now my plan is to go home for a year, get a job, learn to drive and apply for grad jobs after I have my license, though if that doesn't work I want to do a master's. I've seen many across the country in ecology and conservation which would be very interesting! While I'm home I might also volunteer for my local wildlife trust to gain some experience, or something like that at least. I know theres a local rspb reserve that takes volunteers but I would need to drive there...
Back to the present! I have been soooo obssessed with mcr recently and really delving into new music and the subcultures I am in. Speaking of mcr though, I have been reading unholyverse. Basically if you've never heard of it, it's basically frerard but gee is a priest and frank is a piercer n he get's fucking possessed then so does gee and idk how it ends cuz I have 200 pages left. I mentioned in my last post that I don't necessarily agree with rpf (real person fiction) but I kept seeing really good reviews about it within the fandom and wanted to check it out. I'm glad I did because the writing is actually really good and the humour is good too. I would say it could be a completely standalone novel series without it being linked to the band if they changed the names and references to other bands like FOB. The only real link is obviously it was inspired by that photoshoot where Gerard has a priest collar on and that the personalities are kinda similar, a part from that it could just be a cool series. I heard there's another popular fic with frerard but I forgot the name plus it might be a lil triggering cuz I'm off my meds and it's set in a mental hospital. Maybe when I get my meds this weekend! But yeah, reading any rpf makes me feel guilty cuz man that's a real person, I like the fact this fic isn'y straight smut and more romance (chemical) but yeah man idk. I think Gerard said he doesn't care if people make fics about him but idk about the other members and theres some bits in this fic that touch on how the way brothers felt about their grandmas passing which is a bit weird. Either way I'm gonna finish it cuz it is pretty good.

Hmmm that's probably it for now, I have rambled to my hearts content and am ready to throw this page into the void after I add some gifs hehe. I think I might end up doing weekly blogs because daily is too much effort and my life isn't that eventful! Oh i forgot to mention i bought some really cool comics, one about cowboys vs dinosaurs which looks sick. I've been enjoying Bug Wars which is exactly what it sounds like, the art realy speaks to me as someone who is aspiring to write their own comic. Anyway yeah, peace out!
