020426 Jobless no more!

Yeah so basically as the title suggests... I have a job! Hooray! Honeslty about time cuz it was starting to mkae me a lillll depressed that nobody was even getting back to me. So I work in a local pub which is good cuz it's like a 10 minute walk so I can cover shifts at short notice and it overlooks the sea which is nice cuz when I have my breaks on long shifts i sit outside and people watch and the sea is so blue. even nicer now it's getting warmer n sunnier hehe. its quite casual, like its a 0 hour contract which is a bit annoying but so far ive been doing like 18 hour plus a week, its been a but quiet this week with my rota (like 12 hours after i covered someones shift and after easter sunday this weekend). im hoping they give me more hours when it gets busy over summer. but yeah i usually work in the kitchen which is potwashing and waitressing. i thought i wouldnt like that as much but i actually find the pressure of getting peoples orders right (especially food orders omg) is a bit much lol. i only have a few upcoming shifts where im on the bar so ill be fine. it can get really bust really fast after being quiet between meal times but i rpefer to be kept busy cuz what do u mean im not supposed to go on my phone when theres nothing to do and ive asked everyone if they need help already. i mean i do just go on my phone but like if i get caught by the big boss im toast. other staff dont seem to care about it lol. i also kept forgeting to put my drinks down in this book thingy but someone said most people dont anyways lol. like ur telling me the chefs upstairs who r usually ran off their feet r writing down the drinks i bring them up? i dont think so. anyway idk i dont feel too bad about it lol. but yeah to summarise im pretty happy right now, got some dough coming in and ive already spent some on two dolls. one offical azone sahra a la mode (blonde ver) and one hand painted one that came with a bunch of clothes and accessories hehe.

Speaking of dolls... ive started a new doll! she's roughly 1/6 scale tho as a relative newbie to the hobby im still finding out theres loads of different sizes of 1/6 scale like huh how does that work. anyway shes just a bit bigger than a 1/6 azone doll. when she's finished she'll be up on my doll art page! i kinda just went with the flow and created a lovely curvy body cuz that's what i was feeling lol. then when it came to the head i was playing around with curved noses. ive found that i really love to draw and sculpt nice curved noses, i find its a feature thats really attractive to me idk lol. that then turned into me being reminded of traditional indian artwork and sculpture, and how the female faces often have lovely round faces and sloped noses, so i decided to base her features on that. because im a goth lol i wanted to make her alterantive in some way so i found the creatures called chedipe's and how theyre a type of female vampire/witch often seen in the Godavari River region. i read an article indicating how a lot of the folklore surrounding the creatures is rooted in misogyny and i found that very interesting and would like to explore that character in my work. perhaps turning the tale on its head and showing her as more of an innocent creature corrupted by humans rather than the menacing female monster her folklore has her as being. im not indian myself so its been fun researching these topics because i love indian art and culture so much and hope i can also promote people to look into the amazing folktales and culture of the country rather than falling into the bigtotry and racism many people my age seem to have surrounding indians. its insane to me that some of the things i see in comment sections are put forward as a joke when its just blatant racism and it is becoming so normalised when referring to south asian people. anyway enough of that depressing stuff, im excited to share this project on here and excited to continue with that project. im also hoping to create a mould of her body so that i can reuse it for other characters in the future. though im unsure how to go about it, i bought some cheap air dry clay so i could press the pieces into it and hopefully make a decent enough impression to make replicas. but im not sure. i feel like i'd get way out of my depth if i tried to work with silicone moulds so i think this might be the best i can get for now. id like to just get the basic shape and proportions, idm carving out the string channels seperately so hopefully itll be okay.

hmmm tbh i dont have much more to talk about. things are good right now! ive been continuing my wangxian fanfic after ages not touching it and omg its getting quite saucy but i also want the story to be good and make sense so im gonna proof read it before i upload it to ao3. my bf said he wnated to read it and after the chapter i just wrote i dont think he should omfg i dont think i could look him in the eye again its maddddd. i wrote like 20k words in two days so its at like 65k rn. gonna write some more now before i need to take my dog for a walk but i think the story is reaching a good close. ive had a rough plan this whole time but im currently in territory that i didnt have planned at the start so ill defo read through and see if it even makes sense hehehehe. okay im off to write my yaoi lol bye!
